Marquette & Will | Downtown Denver Engagement Session | Denver, Colorado

There are difficult people in this world... and then there's people like Marquette and Will. Two of the most laid back and amazingly nice people you will ever meet. Marquette found me scrolling through Instagram and I'm SO thankful that she did. From day one, email one, word one, these two have been a photographers dream. So cooperative, so joyful, so in love and ... they have the CUTEST little boy (who didn't join us for the E-session but was for sure at the wedding in his tiny little suit)

They, like a few before, also opted for a Downtown Denver chilly engagement session which was so fun and different than their Steamboat wedding.  I got a chance to meet them and see just how happy and truly easy going they really are!! Enjoy and check back soon for their wedding to be on the blog soon :)

Halley & Joe | Aspen Engagement Session | Aspen, Colorado

Have I ever said that I have the coolest couples? If not... here it is. I seriously get to work with the coolest couples!!! Halley and Joe are no exception. I first got an email from Halley that turned into a discussion on the phone soon after. I remember chatting with her about their wedding plans and coming up with an engagement session plan and feeling like I was talking to someone I had known for years. She and Joe opted for a snowy session in Aspen seeing as they would be getting married in the summer in Aspen... two sessions in Aspen? Yes please!!! And then, as if shooting an engagement session in Aspen wasn't enough, Halley and Joe asked if we could add a snowboarding trip onto the end of the session and take a few pictures on the mountain. Twist my arm!! Now I just had to get over the fact that I would be boarding with PROS (for real, these two live on the mountain) when I hadn't been in a good two years. It was a no-brainer sending my camera along in Halley's backpack! I seriously spent the whole morning with these two wonderful people and had the best time!! Stay tuned for their Summer Aspen wedding... I loved it so much, that I'm going to share it again on the new blog :)

Reagan Morley | Denver Birth Story | University Hospital

A long long LONG time ago, I met this short, fast, little spark of a woman on a track in High school. We "knew" each other only because we were forced to race each other in the State finals. Who knew that many years later, I would be in her wedding when she married her pretty awesome husband, Trever.. and then be there for her as she and Trever welcomed their first sweet nugget into the world.

I got the text that Teresa was in labor and after hitting my husband in excitement and squealing a little...I started packing myself up to head to their house. When I got there, Teresa's little brother and sister were sitting downstairs, clearly feeling the excitement as their sister labored upstairs, trying hard to peek up there to see what was going on. As I got upstairs, I was overwhelmed with calmness. Teresa sat on a ball and swayed back and forth through each contraction, so focused, timing each one calmly on her phone. Contractions picked up, so we hopped into the car and sped to the hospital where nothing seemed to slow down. Teresa progressed so smoothly and beautifully with unwavering support from Trever. I was so blown away by the connection that Teresa and Trever had during Teresa's labor. As Teresa worked hard... in the tub, standing up, on the ball... Trever was right there, rubbing her back, giving her water, supporting her. It was all so indicative of the type of parents they would be: united, supportive and amazing!!!

When the midwife finally told Teresa that Reagan was ready to join us Earth-side, Teresa showed such strength and determination and after a few tough pushes, was holding her beautiful baby girl in her arms.

Lauren & Joe | Denver Engagement Session | Downtown Denver

I first met Lauren when she was a Bridesmaid in The Amazing Magee Wedding in 2015 (WHOA! I can't believe it was almost two years ago) I was so thrilled when I got an email from her later on that year asking me to be a part of her and Joe's  wedding at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. Of course I jumped on that opportunity because these two are so dang cool and we started planning their Engagement session immediately.

Joe and Lauren are the type of couple that you just want to be friends with. They are so cool and down to earth and make spending time with them so easy! Because their wedding was going to be outside and in the mountains, which is kind of their jam, they opted for a more urban setting to be a bit different and chose to do the shoot Downtown. We met at Union Station and were lucky enough to sneak upstairs and then went on a bit of a stroll around Downtown. It was so fun hanging out with them and only made me that much more excited for their big day... which, SURPRISE... will be coming up soon on the blog :) Until then, enjoy a few shots from Joe and Lauren's Downtown Denver Engagement session!!
