Farrah & Jeremy | Intimate Mountain Wedding | 8.19.2017

Ok, I seriously hit the jackpot with these two people!! Super down to Earth, extremely chill with an amazing vision for their wedding. Even with circumstances like venues backing out on them, they stayed calm and their vision remained the same --Mountains, mountains mountains!! Which, luckily, here in Colorado, we have a TON of. In the end, Farrah and Jeremy decided to have their ceremony and reception at Farrah's Dad's beautiful cabin in Fairplay with many rockin' mountain views along the way!!

Teresa (my awesome second shooter) and I showed up at this really cool modern house in Breckenridge to meet Farrah and Jeremy as they were getting ready. This place was full of such beautiful natural light and a ton of happy people! The two of them had decided to have their first look at an EPIC location in the Colorado Mountains  -- Sapphire Point! When I say epic, I mean epic. This location overlooks Dillon, Co and is seriously the coolest place to do a first look!! We took a few shots here and then took off to head to Boraes Pass, another amazing location!! After taking probably a little too long here, we headed straight to the cabin in Fairplay, Colorado to get these two hitched!! Farrah's Dad and family made such a beautiful area for his daughter and now son-in-law to get married. It was stunning and so perfectly personal! They finished the night with many toasts, a sunset toast, dancing (thanks to DJ Mags) and lots of smiles, laughter and love! We left this wedding with huge smiles on our faces and LOTS of images on our cameras (hence the out of character extra long blog post.) Even though it's been almost half a year since these two got married, Congrats again Mr. and Mrs. Mock! Your Colorado Intimate Wedding was perfect and I am so thankful and honored that I got to be a part of it!!

Sam & Garrett | Lookout Mountain Engagement Session

A long time ago (like 13-15 years ago) I started playing club basketball with a pretty cool girl from Windsor, Colorado. We became great friends, have stayed in touch and still see each other every now and then. One day, I was hanging out with Brittany (the awesome friend) and I met this amazing and beautiful girl, Sam. Sam was introduced to me as Garrett's girlfriend... Garrett being Brittany's little (but actually really tall) brother. I immediately liked Sam. She is one of those people that always seems happy and that happiness is infectious. Such an easy person to be around and be friends with, the perfect person for Garrett seeing as Garrett is also such a kind and happy person.

What's your favorite thing about your fiance?:

"How she treats people, she is so kind to others even when she doesn't know them and she makes me want to become a better person."

"He makes me laugh and that he tells me he loves me everyday no matter what."

Just like in any love story, these two seem perfectly made for each other. So, it seemed fitting that th0ier proposal story was nothing short of romantic and sweet:

"Christmas morning he took me to the Rock in Castle rock and had decorated a tree to look like a Christmas tree and had an "S" ornament on it. He told me that I was the love of his life and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!! Two of our friends were hiding and taking pictures of us which was so special to have that moment captured!  It was soooo cold and I was so stubborn about going on the walk to get to the special spot, he even had to carry me part way. I was still in my pajamas and had put on one of his Carhartt beanies. So even though it was not my best looking day I am sure it was one of the best days of my life!
We went back to my parents house and announced to my family the awesome news and the day after went to tell his family!"

Sam and Garrett have since been married and I have been working on their images like CRAZY (I have soooo many favorites.) So I figured I should probably share their beautiful Lookout Mountain Engagement Session before I finish and share images from their gorgeous Castle Rock Wedding!

Brooke & Clay | Mountain Engagement Session | Evergreen, Colorado

I worked with Brooke a long time ago at Fossil Trace Golf Course in good ol' Golden, Colorado, so when she contacted me to shoot her wedding, I was so excited. I already knew she was such a sweet, down-to-Earth person and I was pleasantly surprised to meet Clay and realize he was just as great.

For their engagement session, we had plans to go to their friends' ranch but Colorado weather had a mind of it's own! It DUMPED snow on us which made their friends' land unreachable. So we drove up to a random park (I don't even remember the name) and set to work along with their two adorable pups. It was soooo chilly and we had to walk through super deep snow to get around but it turned out to be beautiful and the perfect representation of these two outdoor loving, Colorado natives!!!!
